Keith Forbes (28 May 1906 – 7 September 1996) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Bombers. A small goalkicking rover, he stood at 171 cm and he was twice runner-up in the Brownlow Medal, 1930(joint)and 1935. He twice won the EFC Best and fairest,and twice runner-up. He captained Essendon for four years.1934, then from 1935 -1937. (he stepped aside for Jack Baggot to captain/coach in 1936. In nine of his ten years with Essendon, he either won, or was runner-up in goal kicking.In his first year with Essendon,he came third, this was mainly because his first game was in the 6th round. Forbes kicked his 200th VFL goal in 1932 and was the first Essendon player to achieve this milestone. Forbes went on to also be the first EFC player to kick both 300and 400 goals. He achieved the 300 goal mark during the 1935 season, and then the 400 goal mark during his final, and 10th year at Essendon in 1937. In 1938 and 1939 he was the captain-coach of North Melbourne. He is an interchange bench member of Essendon's 'Team of the Century'. Forbes was inducted into the Essendon Football Club's Hall of Fame in 2011.
